  I have had a serious issue with one of their employees, Steve Heinly, that has been completely ignored by their "family based company" since late December. This maintainance supervisor, who has keys to all of their apartments, is a drug dealer and has been warned to stay away from my home, yet he continues to go to my home while I am not there and act inappropriately in front of my wife and children. After being told by his superiors that "Now is not a good time to handle this because everyone is on vacation for the holidays" and being told by Ron that he has "forwarded my message to the appropriate people" but I still have not been contacted, I can only say... Go find an apartment or condo somewhere else, and if this is any indication of how they do buisness, bring your commercial buisness elsewhere. After a month and a half of trying to contact someone with such a serious issue and no action I can't possibly imagine what this company will do to avoid your problems. Did I mention that this employee, Steve Heinly has already been in trouble for inappropriate behavior including using racial slurs but still continues to be in possession of keys to all their apartments? Shame on you Kaplan!

  Terribly incompetent branch manager. They canceled my account with no notice or so much as contact. The balance left on the account they sent via regular mail without any certification that it was received. Then it took two people, including the manager Charlotte, to figure out how to stop a check they wrote. Apparently Charlotte doesn't know about phone/email or simply doesn't think it's necessary to contact clients when closing accounts. Do business here at your own peril.

• Review of "Yellow Brick Road Nursery School & Day Care Center" at Highland Park

  My son was attending another day care, and every morning was a huge ordeal to get him dressed and into the car. He would cry and say "I don't want to go to school!" When we'd get there, he'd resist every step toward the door, and then beg us not to leave him. It was heartbreaking. We started looking for a new place, local and more comfortable for him. When we found Yellow Brick Road, we knew it was going to be the right place for him. Miss Sandi and the other teachers at Yellow Brick Road are amazing! The environment they have fostered is warm, nurturing and comfortable. We've been at Yellow Brick Road for a month now, and I can't get over the change in my son's personality. He's like a whole new kid. He's happier at home, he's eager to go to school (in fact, I stopped to chat with another parent outside and he kept pulling my arm saying "Mommy! Let's go!") I'm so glad we found Yellow Brick Road!
